“Scottsdale Remembers” Photo Exhibit At Civic Center Library by quotes

Our community’s colorful history comes to life this month through a photo exhibit at the Civic Center Library, 3839 N. Drinkwater Blvd.
Called “Scottsdale Remembers: Recollections of our Past,” the exhibition features photos from the Scottsdale Historical Society, and the local civic groups Scottsdale Charros and Scottsdale Jaycees.

All photos are now in part of the Scottsdale Public Library’s digital
collection. Scottsdale Remembers: Recollections of our Past runs through March 30.

PUBLIC ART PROGRAM THRIVING IN SCOTTSDALE. by azhttp

The new sound component of The Doors sculpture will be installed and dedicated on Thursday Oct. 18 at 5 p.m. (Scottsdale and Camelback Roads). Designed to extend the sculpture’s sensory experience, its “sound episodes” will include environmental, vocaland musical tones. The program dedication event precedes this fall’s Western ArtWalk scheduled for Downtown Scottsdale from 7 to 9 p.m. The ArtWalk will also feature Hashknife artist Herb Mignery and his bronze works at Trailside Gallery. This fall, the public art program is also unveiling a new photography competition called “I ♥ Public Art.” The photos submitted will be exhibited at the Civic Center Library next spring. Scottsdale’s One Civic Center building, located at 7447 E. Indian School Rd., now has free wireless access.  Customers, citizens and others who frequently visit this municipal building are now able to use this free service to surf the internet, connect to a virtual private network (VPN) or access a POP or other non-web based email systems.

Users looking to access the internet using Wi-Fi need to:
