The Scottsdale Fire Department, in partnership with the Scottsdale
Firefighters Association Local 3878, is collecting footwear to benefit the
Community members are encouraged to drop off gently worn shoes or boots at one of Scottsdale’s 14 fire stations or the Witzeman Public Safety Building, located at 8401 E. Indian School Road.
Scottsdale Fire Stations are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, however, residents are encouraged to make their donation dropoffs between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
To locate the nearest fire station, visit http://www.ScottsdaleFD.com or call (480) 312-8000. Fire Department volunteers will pick up the shoes from all the stations on a quarterly basis, starting July 1. There is currently no end date set for this program.
The footwear collected will be shipped to people in need, whether they are victims of a natural disaster or subject to living in extreme poverty.
Soles4Souls estimates that Americans have 1.5 billion pairs of unused shoes lying in their closets. The charity can use each and every one of these pairs to make a tangible difference in someone’s life.
