PUBLIC ART PROGRAM THRIVING IN SCOTTSDALE. by azhttp

The new sound component of The Doors sculpture will be installed and dedicated on Thursday Oct. 18 at 5 p.m. (Scottsdale and Camelback Roads). Designed to extend the sculpture’s sensory experience, its “sound episodes” will include environmental, vocaland musical tones. The program dedication event precedes this fall’s Western ArtWalk scheduled for Downtown Scottsdale from 7 to 9 p.m. The ArtWalk will also feature Hashknife artist Herb Mignery and his bronze works at Trailside Gallery. This fall, the public art program is also unveiling a new photography competition called “I ♥ Public Art.” The photos submitted will be exhibited at the Civic Center Library next spring. More information will be available at http://www.scottsdalepublicart.org
