The city has created a Virtual Open House as a way to encourage broader
community participation in the Downtown Plan Update process. Participants
can choose from nine input topics; the new Virtual Open House format allows
participants to not only provide written comments via a Web form but to also
attach sketches, photos or other documents for consideration. Check out the
Virtual Open House page at the following link:
The Web site also provides access to process updates, maps, background
information and the findings of the Downtown Town Hall process. Open house
drop-in hours will also be held at the Downtown Group office, 4248 N.
Craftsman Court, from 3 to 6 p.m. Sept. 25-27.
In addition to the virtual open house, Advance Planning staff and consultant
team representatives will be periodically staffing the Downtown Group
office. Staff availability is scheduled from September 2007 to June 2008 to
provide one-on-one contacts with key personnel. Staff will provide the
latest information on the update process including draft maps and
personalized response to questions/concerns. A schedule of staff
availability is available on-line at:
Regular process updates will be provided via the city’s Web site at:
http://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/downtown/updates.asp or by calling Advance
Planning at (480) 312-7990.
