TEMPE, Ariz. –  “Arizona’s Bizarre and Beautiful Bugs” are being
featured in an exhibition from Aug. 25 through Nov. 2 at the Lower Level
Library Gallery, 3500 S. Rural Road.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday-Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5:30
p.m., Friday-Saturday; and Noon to 5:30 p.m., Sunday. The gallery will
be closed on Sept. 4 for Labor day.

This traveling exhibit was created by Kim Wismann and introduces
visitors to Arizona’s rich natural endowment of arthropods.

The exhibit, more than 20 years in the making, features framed photos,
books and mounted species in cases. Most of the bugs on display are
found in Arizona and the Southwest. However, some exotic bugs from South
America and other continents are featured, as well.
