UPDATE ON INSTITUTIONAL TEXT AMENDMENT (5-TA-2006) THAT PROPOSES REQUIRING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR NON-RESIDENTIAL USES IN LARGE LOT RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS. Non-residential uses would include, but are not limited to, private schools, colleges, universities, churches and places of worship, community buildings and private recreational uses.
At the August 23 Planning Commission meeting Planning Officer Randy Grant will present a “white paper” to the comissioners on options for the Institutional Text Amendment (5-TA-2006). This discussion will be agendized as a non-action item. While this is a non-action item, attendees who are interested in this issue can provide input at this meeting. Depending on the outcome of this discussion, 5-TA-2005 could be scheduled for the September 13th Planning Commission meeting. The focus of the discussion at the August 23 meeting is to clarifying issues/concerns and get direction/recommendations from the commission in light of the input received to date.
