Unlucky Weather in Arizona
The State of Arizona comprises the extreme south-western portion of the United States. It is bounded on the north by Utah, on the east by New Mexico, on the south by Mexico, and on the west by California and Nevada. A woman had been living in Arizona for 13 months. While talking to a friend of hers back east, she spent a considerable amount of time boasting about how wonderful it is to live there.
“The scenery is beautiful, everyone is so friendly, and the weather is gorgeous,” she noted.
That fall, her friend came to visit for a week. The first day she was there, it rained. The woman was so disappointed, especially after claiming how wonderfully sunny it always was.
“I can’t believe it’s raining. It almost never rains,” she whined.
In an attempt to console her, her friend replies, “But it’s a dry rain.”

DOWNTOWN SCOTTSDALE IS AGLOW WITH HOLIDAY SPIRIT
Residents and visitors alike are invited to stroll Downtown Scottsdale this holiday season to check out new seasonal plants and light displays. Here’s a few of the highlights:
** City staff has installed 70 poinsettias throughout the Downtown area and in new copper pots on the Waterfront Bridge.
** The annual holiday tree is up and sparkling on the Civic Center Mall. The tree was lit last Saturday during the city’s annual Holiday Harmony event. An additional 20-foot tall, lighted tree is installed at the Yearlings monument on Brown and Main streets.
** More than 800 feet of holiday lights adorn the Waterfront Bridge.
